Video Of The Week – I Will Go

It’s a new week and still no baby so let’s focus on something a little different.  This week for Video Of The Week we have a song called I Will Go by Starfield.  I love this band and have been known to use several of their songs.  This song in particular is an amazing attitude that I want my heart to be like.  It is to go share the love of Christ with the dirty people, the homeless people, the broken, hungry, poor people and not just the people that tithe well or have nice cars or have vacation homes I can borrow.  My prayer is that I can get past my comforts and follow Him.

I wanna live for You, go where You lead me.
I wanna follow You.

Video Of The Week – Washed By The Water

Well, I still don’t have any video of my daughter yet (because she has decided she isn’t quite ready to leave her comfy little home), so I thought I would go a different direction.  This is a song called Washed By The Water by the band NEEDTOBREATHE.  I love the song.  I love the bluesy gospel feel.  Not sure that there has ever been a time that I have listened to it and didn’t get into or sing along.  It’s good stuff.  And to top it off it has a great message as well!  So, get your gospel blues on and enjoy some NEEDTOBREATHE!

Video Of The Week – OK Go

If you have not seen this video yet…well, that’s why I’m here.  OK Go, one of my favorite bands, is very creative to say the least.  It all started with the treadmills and dance moves and has taken off since then.  YouTube has been extremely kind to these guys.  They even play a song to only handbells live in concert.  That was pretty insane.  Well, now they have a new song out called This Too Shall Pass.  Not only is it a catchy song that I have had stuck in my head for a couple weeks now, but their newest video is, well, quite a work of genius.  I can’t imagine the hours spent figuring all this out and getting it timed out (well, maybe I can because I’m pretty sure that would be a blast)!  So here it is.  Enjoy this week’s amazing Video Of The Week!

Video Of The Week – Pride And Joy

It’s an all new Monday!  Because it’s an all new Monday, it’s time for a new Video Of The Week!  But it’s also the second half of our fake anniversary (got married on Leap Day and have 2 more years before that one rolls around again).  Therefore it’s a very special Monday, which calls for an especially rocking Video Of The Week.

Baby, I love you so much!  Thanks for marrying me two years ago!  This one’s for you!

Video Of The Week – Charlie Hall Band

This week I want to show you all a band that is one of my all time favorites.  They may or may not know this, but they were very influential to my growth as a musician and a worship leader.  Quint, Dustin and Charlie have been great friends and band mates!  The Charlie Hall Band is huge back in Oklahoma and the West Coast is starting to catch on.  With some of the best musicians that I have ever met, the Charlie Hall Band is outstanding and very creative.  If you are looking for something more than just the normal blah from the radio, check out the Charlie Hall Band.  Their music will make you think, reflect, respond and always points to God.  And if that’s not enough, Charlie has the fastest growing facial hair EVER!  I’m pretty sure he is in the Guinness Book Of World Records for it…or he should be.

Video Of The Week – With Everything

I think it is safe to say that this is probably my favorite song.  I can’t help but get lost in it EVERY time.  I love it.  Hillsong United definitely knows how to sing from the heart.  I love that they understand that sometimes it’s not just about the words you are singing, but that they are ok with singing “nothing” and going all out in that “nothing” part.  I think this song is pretty much the musical embodiment of everything that God has given to me as my ministry and dreams.  Thank you Hillsong United for With Everything.

It’s a pretty good song I guess.

Video Of The Week – Hallelujah

A couple weeks ago I was introduced to a new-to-me song during the Hope For Haiti Now telethon.  It wasn’t one that I recognized or can honestly say I had really ever heard before, but apparently it has really gotten around.  The song Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen was first released in 1984 and has been covered many many times since then.  In the past couple weeks I have listened to a bunch of these covers, but I have to say that this Video Of The Week version by Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris is by far my favorite.  Maybe because these guys are just insanely talented or maybe because it’s just a really good version.

The song’s meaning as Cohen has been quoted is that “it explains that many kinds of hallelujahs do exist, and all the perfect and broken hallelujahs have equal value.”  I love that.  Hallelujah in Hebrew – ???????????? - means to boast in God.  How often do we struggle to boast in God when the times get tough?  It is really easy to say when everything is going great, but when the world comes crashing down on us, it gets difficult to boast in God who is in control.  And many times, it is difficult to boast in God in the good times because we forget that He is the reason for everything going on.  It isn’t because of the things that I have accomplished but solely through Him.  This week as you go about your life, in the good times and the bad times, remember to boast in God.  Hallelujah.

What would you like to see as a Video Of The Week?  Have a video in mind?  Let me know!  Comment or just send me an email!

And to kick it all off I wanna start with one of my favorite songs.  The songs says it all.  We live because of Him.  Oh, and The Fee Band knows how to rock it out!

A New Theme

The time has come to launch the new theme!  There are still some bugs in it that I haven’t figured out, but I guess that should be expected when the creator of the theme advises you not to use it because he hasn’t messed with it much.  Oh well.  I guess I will keep searching for the perfect theme, but for now here we are!  Thanks to Human3rror (who has some really great WordPress themes) and his Simpl3 theme, we have an all new site!  There are tons of brand new headers (with more to come), new buttons, some ads for some of my favorite places, new content and a new twist on some of the old stuff, and a Video Of The Week spot still to come!

It’s amazing how much you can learn through trial and error about something that is way over your head.  Enter html and css.  I still am not sure I know what I’m doing and know for sure that I couldn’t pull off coding my own site.  So I just modify when I can figure it out.  And here you have it!  So as the hunt for the perfect (free) theme continues (yeah, good luck, I know) enjoy the new site!
